May 6, 2023Exciting news! A new study by Dr. Stefanie Riemer (www.hundeunibern.ch) in collaboration with Lisa Stolzlechner (www.lisastolzlechner.com) out of the University of Bern is examining early exposure to challenges in puppies based, in part, on the protocols in Puppy Culture!
Dr. Reimer and Ms. Stolzlechner presented their findings at the International Society for Applied Ethology this year. Watch the presentation here:
Early Challenges and Stress Resilience in Puppies
This is the first study that I am aware of that specifically measures the difference between what we call “passive” and “active” challenges. So, looking at the effect of training challenges vs just putting toys in the pen and playing with the puppies. The first results are super interesting, and we look forward with interest to the analysis of the next round of data!
